More than conquerors

First, I just want to say thank you to whoever has been reading my blog the past couple of days or even if this is the first time. It means the world to me that you are reading this. I do this because I have a heart for encouraging other people and it also gives me a chance to strengthen my relationship with our Father.

Every day we fight the battle between what our flesh desires and what the spirit desires.  It is a battle that will continue to go on until the day we are no more. With God being in us, we often know what the right thing to do is, but it's hard to do it. We are constantly being deceived and constantly in a battle. I hope that today that God's words are encouraging to you and I hope that you know that we are more than conquers.

Romans 7:21-25 says: "So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin."

Our minds and our sinful nature are two totally different things. I say that because the last verse says; "I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature a salve to the law of sin." Your mind is so powerful, the toughest battles are won in the mind.

Here is why we are more than conquerors:

Romans 8:36-39 says this: "As it is written; "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Sometimes that is hard to remember because we are battling it every single day and Satan is trying so hard to make us forget that. I encourage you if you are struggling with the battle of the mind and are feeling discouraged to really pray about it.

I want to leave you with this verse. Romans 8:26 says: "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what are ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans."

If you have a desire to pray, but sometimes can't think of what to pray for through words, the Spirit knows our needs and what we ought to pray for, he hears us and knows everything we are going through and everything we think about before we even think about it.

WIN THE DAY

God Bless

it's okay to not understand

I believe that one of the things that hold people back from having a relationship with Christ is the feeling that they for some reason think...
