The Prayer of Faith

I finished James 5 tonight and I wanted to share with you, "The Prayer of Faith." Before I get to that, if you are looking for a nice and understandable book of the Bible to read, try reading James. It's 5 short chapters that are about living the Christian Life 24/7. What does a real relationship with Jesus look like day-in and day-out? It explores spiritual maturity and how to grow up in the faith. Every verse is easy to understand but not at all easy to implement. The book teaches you about real faith through God's word.

The Prayer of Faith

James 5:13-16

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

I know that this isn't much but I hope that it encourages you to pray with faith...not only tonight but at all times. Have faith that God will answer your prayers. I believe that having faith in God relates to righteousness. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Remember that!
