Do you ever feel like you don't have time to do the things you want to do? My guess is that you probably have time for that every single day. We just become confused and think that we don't. Well, let me tell you, there is time for everything. Regardless of how busy you are.
A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens.
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build up,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
I have enjoyed this passages since the first time I had ever read through it. I like it because it literally makes you feel like you have time to do whatever you want too. That is because you do. You have time for everything.
There is one more verse that I want to share with you that comes from Ecclesiastes 3. "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end." (Ecclesiastes 3:11) What sticks out to me is..."He has set eternity in the human heart." That is why people are always left wanting more. The feeling of eternity is something that we cannot even fathom. That is why when you feel like everything is going well, there is still something inside of you that wants more. Our soul longs for something that is so much bigger than us. Eternity can't get much bigger, eternity is eternity. I am so thankful that God set that feeling in our hearts. I can't imagine living this life without that feeling. There really wouldn't even be a point.
I hope that this post reminded you that you have time for everything. I also hope that if you didn't know what that feeling you had inside of you was, that had you feeling like there was something more out there..that it's the feeling of eternity that God set in your heart.
I write for one reason, and that is to encourage others, give perspective, and get people excited about their faith.
