I am really bummed I haven’t had a sufficient amount of time to spend on the blog and reading my Bible the last two days. I think it’s a perfect example of how life can be sometimes. A lot of people go through this roller coaster faith walk throughout their lives. That’s how it was for me until this past year. I want to encourage you with one verse tonight.
Psalm 84:10: “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God then dwell in the tents of the wicked.”
If you get verse of the day notifications from the Bible app on your phone, then you saw that this was the verse of the day. When I saw that this was the verse of the day it was just what I needed. I encourage you to check out the verse of the day if you struggle with getting into the word. Checking out the verse of the day is better than nothing. Don’t substitute it though, reading the Bible on a consistent basic will change your life.
I love that verse because it’s a good reminder that one day with the Lord is better than a thosaund elsewhere. I take that as spending time with the Lord one day is better than so many other things that you could be doing. Heck it’s the best thing you can do.
This was short, but I hope that you’re encoraged by this in some type of way.
I write for one reason, and that is to encourage others, give perspective, and get people excited about their faith.
