Where have I been?

Hey everyone, I am back. Some of you might be wondering where I have been. I posted about China at the beginning of the week and talked about how I cannot wait to get back to blogging on a daily basis because I absolutely love learning and encouraging as many people as I can through the words and insight that the Holy Spirit gives me.

You know what I haven't done since last time I said I was going to start blogging again? I haven't blogged. I have been back for an entire week now and have blogged once. Why is that? I don't like making excuses at all but there has really been no time at all. I recently got an internship position and I started this week. The internship is full time so I worked over 40 hours this week.

I have previously only have worked one other full-time job in my life and it takes a lot of you. I am in the process of learning more about time management and how to prioritize my life. It's actually quite difficult, and I didn't expect it to be easy.

For me, the most important things in my life are God, family/girlfriend, friends, working out/basketball, and work. So on a daily basis, I want to be able to incorporate all of those things into my life. Everything that is important to me requires time and energy. Time and energy are two of the greatest things that you can give someone or something.

What I have learned is that there is only so much time in a day and that is just how it is, you cannot change time. It's so hard to give my time and energy to everything that I care about most. With this first week of working full-time I know I did a good job at giving it all during work, lifting weights, spending time with my girlfriend, and keeping in touch with friends. Now if you know me well, you know that there is one thing in particular that I didn't mention in that list...time with spent with God, reading the bible and blogging. This week I did so bad at it. I start work early in the morning and I lift with some of my buddies every morning between 5:00 am and 5:45 am. After that I get ready for work and have anywhere between a 20 - 45 minute drive to work. I work from any time between 3:00 pm and 6 pm. This week was Jennifer's birthday week so every single night we had dinner plans. Which was totally amazing! Being able to spend time with people I care about and enjoy some bomb food is a great thing. It's life! By the time dinner ended every night it was already around 8:30 and I was tired and ready for bed since I usually wake up just before 5. I really had no time for it last week, I also didn't have time to get into the gym, which is very hard for me.

It's all difficult because there are some things you might have to not spend as much time on or something like that. The person I am, I like to give all of my time and energy to the people and things I care about because I love it all. I love to be fully invested and if I cannot be fully invested into something I feel like I am not as impactful or not as involved as I should be. I love giving all of myself to the things that mean most to me and people.

I know that in order for me to be the person that I want to be, I need time with God on a daily basis because a relationship with Christ is the single most important thing in my life. This week was difficult because it was a learning week, but I can't wait to get it figured out this week. I know I will never get it figured out because this is life and nothing is ever perfect or easy, but I do know that I will give my all with Christ at the drivers seat. When you start to live your life with that mindset, that is when everything will change.

I believe many people relate to what I just said. Life is so busy and sometimes it feels like you are all over the place and that is because you are. When you are all over the place, give it all to God and I promise you...your life will change.

Now I hope that all made sense and was encouraging for you. As this new week begins I pray that not only myself but anyone who reads this, can begin prioritizing the things in the life the way that they should prioritized. I know that everyone is different and we all have things we care about. My hope is that you can give it your all in everything that you do.

And one more thing, the busier life is, the more strength you need, and the strength you need comes from God and only God.

Busy is good!

it's okay to not understand

I believe that one of the things that hold people back from having a relationship with Christ is the feeling that they for some reason think...
