I love you Lord

I believe that sometimes we put certain aspects of our relationship with Christ before others. I think it's easy, at least for me, when it comes to prayer to always be praying to God about something or for someone. I often forget to express my love for God.

Not complex, just simple is what I hope this post is today.

The beginning of Psalm 18 starts likes this: "I love you, Lord, my strength." (Psalm 18:1)

Then the rest of that chapter is beautifully written.

Seeing that first verse really made me think. What if we began every prayer like that? Or what if when we talked about God around other people we talked about how much we love him? I feel like our understanding on God loving us vs. why we love him is skewed more in one direction than the other.

We sing, we worship, and we pray about how God loves us. But what about the other way around?

My one thing for you toady, is to really think about how much you love God. Then it doesn't stop there, try and figure out ways you can really express your love for God!
