How many of you are happy when you see a reflection of yourself in some water? Do you ever feel satisfied when you see your reflection?
I hope with this post it will encourage you to be happy and be confidence when you look at your reflection in the water.
Proverbs 27:19-20 says: "As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart. Death and destruction are never satisfied, and neither are human eyes."
What do you get from that verse? What I get from that verse in that your life reflects your heart. Death and destruction are never satisfied is tougher. That is where your heart gets into a battle. When death and destruction deceive you and keep you unsatisfied, your heart is not happy. Since your heart reflects your life, a sad heart, will more or less mean a sad life. Or a sad situation.
With that being said, we think that our lives are so much more than what they really are.
Psalm 103:14-16 says: "for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more."
God knows how we were formed. We are dust. Our life is like grass that slowly withers away and will eventually be gone. How does this relate to how ones life reflects the heart? Or lives are so short that we should never get caught up in negativity, or anything that makes us unhappy. We need to guard our hearts and focus on the one thing that will always be the same and will never ever change.
Our God is so good. I encourage you to really meditate on this scripture. Psalm 103:8-12 says: "The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."
Those verses are filled with so much truth and so much power.
There is one verse I want to close with and it is Psalm 102:12 which says: "But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations."
The Lord is enthroned forever. Believe in the with all of your heart and you will be happy in this life.
I write for one reason, and that is to encourage others, give perspective, and get people excited about their faith.
