Evil is everywhere. Every single day there will be people in your life who will try to make you conform to the patterns of the world. It can be some of the smallest things to, like how you think and what you say.
I want to share some scripture with you that talks about how the enemy is so sneaky and is always trying to get a hold of you.
Proverbs 26:23-28 says: "Like a coating of silver dross on earthenware (pottery) and fervent lips with an evil heart. Enemies disguise themselves with their lips, but in their hearts they harbor deceit. Though their speech is charming, do not believe them, for seven abominations fill their hearts. Their malice may be concealed by deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them. A lying tongue hates those it hurts, and a flattering mouth works ruin."
Enemies are everywhere and will try everything they can and in their power to woe you with their words. They disguise it so well. You will give in sometimes and think that they really aren't doing anything wrong, but I am sure that deep down in your heart you have a feeling that you really need to be guarding your heart.
If you fall into the hands of the enemy and of the world, do not worry because it happens to us all. It happens to me everyday.
You know whats awesome? A Psalm that is all about giving grateful praise to God.
Psalm 100 says: "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Next time you are going through the daily battle that we face every single day, do not forget to shout for joy to the Lord and all the earth. Worship him with gladness, and come before him with joyful songs. We are God's and we are his people. God is good and his love endures forever. He will be faithful through all generations. Never forget that.
I write for one reason, and that is to encourage others, give perspective, and get people excited about their faith.
