The Skies

As I sit in the Detorit airport this morning awaiting my departure, I could not be more excited. It was hard saying goodbye to my parents when they dropped me off this morning, and it was incredibly hard to say goodbye to Jennifer last night. I still can't believe that the day is here for me to go on my trip.

My first stop at the airport this morning was to Max & Erma's. I was hungry and got some bomb French toast. As I was sitting in there I decided that I was going to do my bible reading and journaling for the day.

I came across a verse in Psalms that was perfect for me today and for the trip.

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands. (Psalm 19:1)

As I board the plane in a couple of minutes and travel across the country and then to the other side of the world, I know that the skies proclaim the work of his hands. God has his fingerprints all over this trip and I could not be more excited to experience what he has planned.

Next stop: Los Angeles, California
