task vs. opportunity

Every task is disguised as an opportunity.

I listened to a speaker yesterday that totally changed my mindset when he said that.

Think about everything that we view as a 'task.' Tasks are usually things that we really don't want to deal with. It's usually just another thing on the list that we have to check off. There is nothing attractive about the word 'task.'

When you view almost everything as a 'task' you never get any fulfillment out of anything that you have to do...because you feel like it's just something that you have to do.

Now think about opportunities...an opportunity is something that can take you in a million different positive directions.

When you view everything as an opportunity, you put more effort, love, and care into the things that you do. We generally care about the opportunities that we have and we always want to make the most of them.

I've never heard anybody say that they want to make the most out of the task at hand...

We can find fulfillment in opportunities every single day.

When you begin to view everything as an opportunity you can change your entire life.

I get the opportunity to serve God and honor him in every aspect of my life every day.

I get the opportunity to love Rach and make her feel like the most special girl in the entire world.

I get the opportunity to serve my clients every day.

I get the opportunity to be around amazing people every day.

I get the opportunity to be a good friend every day.

I get the opportunity to be a good son every day.

I get the opportunity to be a good brother every day.

You see what I did?

Change your language from saying 'have to' to 'get to.'

When you switch up those words, everything becomes an opportunity for you.

My homework for you is to write three things down that you have the opportunity to do on a daily basis and share those with me. Once you get this figured out, your life will really change. Because you will literally start to view everything as an opportunity.

it's okay to not understand

I believe that one of the things that hold people back from having a relationship with Christ is the feeling that they for some reason think...
